Diana North

Singer - Soprano

Diana has been working as a freelance soprano since completing her master’s degree. Her solo work has given her the opportunity to sing a diverse range of repertoire, in a wide range of venues from Cathedrals to Theatre Tents.

Diana is proactive in her professional development and regularly attends workshops, master classes and lessons so she can continue to provide the highest quality performance. Diana currently studies with Valerie Hoppe. Recent activities have included a master class with Yvonne Howard; Melofonetica’s Intensive two day Sung Italian Course; Sung French Workshop with Florence Daguerre de Hureaux; Acting for Opera Workshop led by Norman Cooley; Performance Confidence with Peter Jackson, Total Vocal Freedom Academy.


In March 2020, Diana came First with honours in the Musical Show and Sacred classes of the Godalming Performing Arts Festival. She was also awarded the Solo Singing Trophy for Female Voice. 

Performance Highlights:

Diana has sung with many groups over the years. Her performance highlights include:

  • Soprano Soloist in Faure’s Requiem and Vaughan Williams’ Mass in G Minor with the London Cantata Choir
  • Singing extracts from Simon Boccanegra, Madama Butterfly and Carmen with Opera Foundry in their Composer and Language concerts
  • Soprano Soloist in Vivaldi’s Gloria and Magnificat with the Vivaldi Singers
  • Playing Annina/Flora in La Traviata and Suor Dolcina with Secret Opera

Diana is currently working on a recital and various other projects
